HAM-DEFCON is a cybersecurity competition organized by HAM-ARC club of National Institute Of Technology Warangal Telangana, India.

Rules & Code of Conduct
On-Site & Network Access:
The competition is strictly offline at the NIT Warangal campus. All team traffic and service interactions must route exclusively through the official network access gateway.

Multi-Tiered Flagstores:
Each service hosts multiple independent flagstores (Easy, Medium, Hard). Flags are dynamically rotated and refreshed every tick (round).

Scoring Breakdown:

Attack Points: Awarded for successfully exploiting opponent services and submitting their flags to the Flag Submission endpoint.

Defense Points: Maintained by successfully patching vulnerabilities while keeping services operational.

SLA (Uptime) Points: Awarded each round your services remain healthy, responsive, and passing all automated checker functionality tests.

Scope & Infrastructure Immunity:
Only designated opponent service ports and containers are in scope. Attacking the game engine, scoring backend, automated checkers, host hypervisors, or other teams’ network credentials will result in immediate disqualification.

Fair Play & Service Integrity:
Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks, network floods, deleting arbitrary system utilities, bricking service runtimes to prevent checker evaluation, and flag sharing or collusion between teams are strictly prohibited.
